I bought my new kiln and today it arrived on a truck driven by a very nice Welsh man named David. Who managed to get it in in one piece. AND it’s beautiful!!!

Although today I had another motive for visiting Haddenham gallery; I was delivering some of my work for display!

Haddenham Galleries, North of Cambridge near Ely, is a wonderful place to visit. There’s a wide variety of artwork and you can a have a nice cup of tea (with cake obviously) while contemplating which of the beautiful pieces will look best at home. Their beautiful nature garden and art walk is just coming into bloom too.

This month starts a show at the Williams Gallery in Cambridge. Together with 16 other artist working in different medias I will exhibit new work. I am still working on it and I hope that I will have all planned pieces ready for it in time…fingers crossed!

So pay Regina a visit to view this and many other handmade pieces.

One of the services I offer beside teaching and doing commissions, is taking children’s hand imprints. This weekend I had a special little visitor – my 3 month old nephew Sebastian.

We all had a great time in the studio making lovely hand and footprints in clay.

Parents and Grandparents were delighted and we hope Sebastian liked it too.

That’s because after months of suffering from cold weather I can appreciate sunshine and flowers even more.

Officially its not spring yet, but I’ve already made up an “Osterstrauch” due to the sunny days we had in Cambridge. It really lifts your mood when looking at it. Its an Austrian tradition to have a “Easter tree” in your house leading up to Easter. It is a  symbol for new growth, fertility and life.

You need:

  • a nice vase (!)
  • tree branches -cherry/apple or forsizia branches which start flowering when brought into a warm environment
  • spring flowers
  • hanging Easter eggs (real ones or made from clay) and other Easter ornaments
